This is my last Top 10 before I’m done with my paper. ‘m meeting with Anne this afternoon to go over my spankin’ new Introduction v2.0. I’ll work the changes from Intro 2.0 into the rest of the paper over the weekend, then meet with Micheál on Monday for any last minute ideas. I should have it back from the printers on Wednesday to turn in. Then off to Prague at the crack of dawn on Thursday. Look for a download on Wednesday night for those who want to read my paper. Once it’s turned in I can share with everyone. Music after the jump.
- Blue October – “18th Floor Balcony/It’s Just Me” Foiled

This week’s list is some pretty weak sauce. Yellowcard is the latest to fall victim to the Great iTunes Purge of 2009. Once I’m back from Prague, the hunt is on in full force.
Another Friday, another 10 random (soundtrack) songs…
“Isfahan” – E.S. Posthumus, Unearthed
“Eingeschlossen” – Klaus Doldinger, Das Boot (The Director’s Cut)
“Road Made for Animals” – John Tesh, Tour de France…The Early Years
“The Demon God II” – Joe Hisaishi, Princess Mononoke
“Ruined Landscape” – Klaus Doldinger & Giorgio Moroder, The Never Ending Story

“Not from Dixie” – Henry Mancini, The Music from Peter Gunn
“Hideout” – Clint Bajakian, Outlaws game soundtrack
“Montezuma’s Revenge” – Rick Wakeman, White Rock
“Ultramarine” – Michael Brook, Heat
I like the slow inevitability of the Itunes Purge. Once it’s complete you should put up a random 10 of nothing but struck down songs.
Pixies – Monkey Gone to Heaven – Doolittle
Tool – The Patient – Lateralus
Portishead – Hunter – Third
System of a Down – Darts – (Self-titled)
Nirvana – Anorexorcist – With the Lights Out

Mudvayne – Mercy, Severity – The End of All Things to Come
The Decemberists – The Rake’s Song – The Hazards of Love
Wendy Sutter – Tissue No. 7 – Songs and Poems for Solo Cello by Philip Glass
Audioslave – Like a Stone – (Self-titled)
There will most definitely be a list of those who met their demise, to serve as a warning for future music that may seek residence in my hard drive.
