So, as many of you requested, I took a picture of the beard so you can see it. Only now have I realized just how pathetic a beard it is. I was going to try to make it to Friday with this, as that would be 2 weeks, but I can’t stand it anymore, especially knowing how bad it looks. It’s gone as soon as I get up. I’ll probably get a haircut today too. The picture is after the jump – I don’t want that hanging out there for the world to see.

The hair? Yeah, I just got up.

Yep it’s gotta go. Nice try.Papaw says a mustache looks possible.

According to the art of manliness, you should give yourself at least six weeks before you make any decisions to abandon hope. The intermediate stage can certainly be uncomfortable, though.

I’m with ubelmann here (and how could I argue with a man with as impressive a beard as ubelmann has?).
Otherwise go for the Joe Nathan/Kyle Lohse chin fuzz.

Time may help, but I think that there is not much hope. I would say the mustache is a possibility but I would wait till winter when it is more practical.

I don’t think any amount of waiting will cure the bald patches around my chin.

Hope this is as close to a mug shot as you ever get.

My co-worker and I keep trying to initiate a winning streak by only shaving after a Twins loss.
So far no one is happy with the results – except my wife, who prefers my shaven face to my “hobo face” (her words).
